Medical fit-outs Perth · Medical centre design
Medical fit-outs, done right.
Acoustic privacy tends to be overlooked, and in a GP clinic fit-out it's expensive to fix once the walls are up. We build medical clinic fit-outs with details like that in mind, alongside the essential rooms they need. Talk to us before you sign a lease, and we'll tell you what your site can actually take.

What’s involved in a medical centre fit-out
What we plan before the build
- During the site assessment we check power supply, ceiling heights, drainage, parking and disability access.
- We work with your architect on room count and sizing for reception, consult and treatment rooms, staff areas, and a pathology collection room, if needed.
- We flag acoustic separation between consult rooms early, from wall insulation to acoustic board and ceiling tiles. This ensures sensitive conversations stay private once the clinic is in operation.
- Your architect runs the planning application and council approval, backed by our input on what the building can take.

Our process

We start with a site assessment.
We check all of the crucial details before you commit to a lease, since those are what decide whether your medical centre's rooms and layout will work the way you need them to.

We build to compliance specs.
Your architect sets the layout, and a building surveyor signs off on compliance. We align with both, and flag anything that won't work in practice before it's built.

We hand over a finished fit-out.
Once the build is complete, we walk you through the space and hand it over, ready for you to move in and set up.
Tell us what you’re planning. We’ll tell you what it takes.

Common questions about medical fit-outs
What’s the difference between a medical fit-out and a radiology fit-out?
Receptions, waiting rooms, staff areas, and toilet requirements are much the same for both. The real difference lies in the the scale and the equipment required. Medical clinic designs generally don’t call for CT or MRI rooms, so you tend to end up with smaller individual rooms, plus a pathology collection room in most cases. As experienced medical centre builders, we've done radiology and medical work for years, so we know how to build an optimal layout for either clinic type.
What's easy to overlook when planning a medical fit-out?
Clients most often underestimate the space needed not only for the consult and treatment rooms, but also staff areas and toilets. Every medical centre fit-out needs these accounted for. That's why we check for them during the site assessment, before you've committed to a floor plan that's too tight to comfortably fit them all.
How long does a medical centre fit-out take?
The construction timeline depends on the scope, but our clinic fit-outs usually take three to five months to build. Planning and council approval happen before that and take at least another three months, so allow around six months from start to finish.
What's involved in fitting out a specialist consulting room?
A specialist consulting room is basically a treatment room, with a chair or a bed and the same finishes we use across medical centres, like coved vinyl flooring. Unlike an operating theatre, it doesn't need specialised air-conditioning, so the build is typically straightforward once your layout is set.
What size medical practice do you build for?
We build for medical practices of any size. That ranges from a single doctor opening their first clinic to an established practice expanding to a second or third location.
